ACWA Power, a Saudi Arabian company, has completed wind turbine construction for the 240 MW Khizi-Absheron Wind Power Plant in Azerbaijan’s Absheron region.

According to information obtained by Renewables.az, 12 wind turbines—equivalent to 78 MW of capacity—have been installed in the Absheron region as part of the 240 MW Khizi-Absheron Wind Power Plant project.

It is worth noting that the full project will include a total of 37 turbines: 12 located in Absheron and 25 in Khizi. The Khizi section, comprising 25 turbines, will have a combined capacity of 162 MW. Each turbine has an individual generation capacity of 6.5 MW.

As a reminder, Abid Malik, President of ACWA Power for Central Asia, previously announced that the plant would begin generating electricity in test mode. This announcement was made during the 30th Anniversary International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition and the 13th Caspian International Energy and Green Energy Exhibition held in Baku.
