The Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and Universal Solar Azerbaijan [a subsidiary of China-based Universal Energy] signed the Land Lease Agreement for the Gobustan solar power plant (SPP) project with a capacity of 100 MW. The document was signed by Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov and Director of the company Tao Zhicheng.
The Agreement on the purchase and sale of electricity and the Agreement on connection to the transmission network for this project were signed by Chairman of the Board of Azerenergy Baba Rzayev and Tao Zhicheng.
In addition, the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. signed a Protocol on Amendments to the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Energy Transition in connection with the extension of its validity period.
