Milli Majlis ratifies Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan green energy partnership agreement

The Milli Majlis has ratified the agreement on strategic partnership in the development and transmission of green energy between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
During today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis, discussions were held on the "Agreement on Strategic Partnership in the Development and Transmission of Green Energy between the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan."
It was noted that the agreement was drafted to establish a new strategic framework for cooperation in the energy sector between the three countries.

The document aims to promote the development of green energy in accordance with the greenhouse gas emission reduction targets set in the Paris Climate Agreement. Within this framework, the parties will cooperate in the production, transmission, and trade of renewable energy sources, and support the implementation of green hydrogen and green ammonia technologies.
It was emphasized that the agreement has been concluded for an indefinite period.
The draft was approved in one reading after discussions.
