The OVA Hybrid Solar Power Plant Project, a first of its kind in Türkiye, has been successfully commissioned following the approval process by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
Developed by OVA Enerji, a subsidiary of Erdem Holding, this innovative project is the first licensed floating solar power application in Türkiye to be implemented under the hybrid regulation framework.
Installed as an auxiliary source to the 13.5 MW OVA Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) located on the Sakarya River, the 2 MW floating solar power system not only increases renewable energy production but also offers an environmentally friendly solution by reducing surface water evaporation.
Project supervision and owner’s engineering services were provided by SUSOL Enerji and RAMIRA Enerji, while the plant installation was carried out by Tegnatia EPC Solutions. With its technical competence, project integrity, and implementation model, the OVA Hybrid Solar Power Plant sets a technological and regulatory benchmark for the sector.
