The first meeting of the sub-Working Group on the green energy space was held within the framework of the work carried out to develop the socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2027-2030.
Head of the sub-Working Group, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov spoke about the reforms carried out in the field of energy in our country under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev and the priorities of the green energy agenda. The importance of taking into account both the experience gained during the implementation of the economic development strategy covering 2022-2026 and global trends in the development of the part of the new strategy entrusted to the sub-Working Group was emphasized.
At the meeting, the work done on the goal of green energy within the ongoing strategy and the results achieved were presented, the directions of activity, preliminary measures and coordination mechanisms for the new period, covering 2027-2030, were discussed.
It should be noted that the sub-Working Group on green energy space was established in accordance with the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 18 June 2025, in accordance with Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development.
