The first wind turbine has been installed at the Novolakskaya Wind Power Plant (built by Rosatom Renewable Energy JSC, which is the managing company of the Rosatom State Corporation Wind Energy Division).
Its height is 150 meters, the length of a blade is 50 meters. The wind power plant is going to include 120 wind turbines with a total capacity of 300 MW. Construction is to be in two stages: 61 wind turbines in 2025 and 59 wind turbines in 2026. In total, Rosatom plans to commission wind farms with a total capacity of about 1.7 GW by 2027 (taking already commissioned capacities into account), which will allow its Wind Energy Division to become one of the leaders in the Russian renewable energy sources market.
