A meeting was held between Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and a delegation led by Chief Executive Officer of bp, Murray Auchincloss, Renewables.az informs via Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with the company in the fields of oil and gas and renewable energy. The important role of the use of various types of energy in solving energy security, environmental protection and sustainability issues was emphasized. In this context, it was especially noted that Azerbaijan is an exemplary country, and the successful continuation of cooperation with bp in the field of oil and gas with the renewable energy project-Shafag SPP.
During the conversation, the development of existing energy projects, as well as the implementation of the green energy corridor and interconnectors were considered. The sides exchanged views on development trends in global energy markets.
At the meeting, the support was expressed to bp`s new regional president for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye Giovanni Cristofoli, who was part of the delegation, in his future activities.
