The Energy Ministry of Azerbaijan has announced the volume of electricity generated by the Zangilan and Shayifli power plants, Renewables.az informs.
"From the beginning of operation until May 2025, the Zangilan small hydroelectric power station (SHPS) generated 25.1 million kWh, and the Shayifli SHPS generated 29.8 million kWh," the Ministry of Energy said on X.
The small hydroelectric power stations Zangilan and Shayifli, built on the Okhchuchay River in Zangilan district, were commissioned on May 18, 2024. The Zangilan SHPS has a total capacity of 10.5 MW and consists of two hydroelectric units with a capacity of 5.25 MW each, while the Shayifli SHPS has a total capacity of 10.5 MW and consists of 2 hydroelectric units with a capacity of 5.25 MW each.
