Interesting opportunities are opening up in the global market today for entrepreneurs involved in the trade of raw materials for biofuels, Wood Mackenzie Director Ian Simm said at the Caspian and Central Asia Oil trading and logistics forum held in Baku.

Report quotes him as saying that depending on the size of the enterprise, investments of $500 million to $1 billion will be required.

"We are negotiating with plant operators, managers, investors, banks and other partners. The main question is how to effectively redirect existing processing capacities to biofuel production instead of new large capital investments," he said.
