The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has announced an international tender for the selection of a consulting company to prepare a feasibility study for the first stage of the Trans-Caspian Green Energy Corridor Central Asia-Azerbaijan project, Renewables.az informs via ADB.

The consulting services will be completed within 11 months, and the total budget is $1 million. The project is financed jointly by ADB and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) on a parity basis. At the same time, ADB coordinates the procurement process, and upon completion of the tender, AIIB will conclude direct contracts with the selected consultants.

The deadline for submitting applications is July 16, 2025. The expected start date of work is November 3, 2025.

On April 4, 2025, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, with the support of ADB and AIIB, agreed to launch the first stage of the Caspian Green Energy Corridor initiative. The parties signed an agreement on cooperation in preparing a feasibility study for a project that envisages the integration of the energy systems of the three countries and the creation of a route for the supply of renewable energy to Europe.

The project is a continuation of the agreement on strategic partnership in the field of green energy, concluded by the leaders of the three states in November 2024 at the COP29 conference.
