A grant agreement on the development of a project concept for coastal infrastructure to support large-scale offshore wind power plants in Azerbaijan has been signed.
Renewables.az reports that the agreement was signed between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on behalf of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), acting as the Implementing Partner of the Financial Facility of the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF).
The agreement was signed by Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and by Konstantin Limitovskiy, AIIB’s Chief Investment Officer for Public Sector (Region 2) and Project and Corporate Finance (Global) Clients, on behalf of the Bank.
The grant agreement provides USD 100,000 in financial support for the development of a project concept for coastal infrastructure to support large-scale offshore wind power plants.
