A total of USD 123,529 (AZN 210,000) in concessional loans has been allocated to active consumers for the installation of solar panels in Azerbaijan.
Renewables.az reports that this was stated in an article by Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, published in Azerbaijan newspaper.
The article noted that the financing mechanisms of the Energy Efficiency Fund have been improved, with cooperation agreements signed with 14 credit institutions to provide concessional loans.
In addition, the potential introduction of the Energy Service Company (ESCO) model, which allows investments in energy efficiency to be repaid through the savings achieved, is being explored.
