Azerbaijan’s Green Line Shipping has signed two separate cooperation agreements with UK-based Xlinks Limited and Interocean Marine Services.

Renewables.az reports, citing Green Line Shipping, that the agreements were signed on 6 October 2026 in Baku on the sidelines of the 8th Azerbaijan–UK Joint Intergovernmental Commission.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed between Green Line Shipping and Xlinks provides a framework to explore cooperation in marine services, subsea cable systems, including high-voltage direct current (HVDC) interconnections, and infrastructure supporting renewable energy development in the Caspian region.

Under a separate Non-Equity Collaboration and Joint Venture Framework Agreement with Interocean Marine Services, the companies will explore opportunities in engineering, marine assurance, inspection, survey and offshore project support.

The documents were signed by Green Line Shipping CEO Renat Rzayev, Xlinks CEO James Humfrey and a representative of Interocean Marine Services.

The cooperation will cover both the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors, including offshore wind and subsea power cable projects.

The agreements are expected to support the development of renewable energy projects and cross-border clean electricity transmission infrastructure across the Caspian region.

The signing of the agreements marks a further step in strengthening business cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UK in the energy and marine sectors.
