Solar panels with a combined capacity of over 9 MW and more than 8,500 LED lighting units have been installed in over 3,000 private homes, public and social buildings in Azerbaijan's liberated territories.

Renewables.az reports that Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, stated this in an article published in Azerbaijan newspaper.

According to the Minister, approximately 3,500 of the lighting units are solar-powered hybrid systems.

At the same time, energy-efficient buildings, smart management systems, solar-powered bus stops and electric vehicle charging infrastructure are being developed.

These initiatives aim to transform Karabakh and East Zangezur into model regions for energy efficiency and the adoption of green technologies.
