TGEM, a leading Tajik company specializing in the construction of hydroelectric and infrastructure facilities, has signed an EPC contract with AYON ENERGY for the construction of a 250 MW photovoltaic power plant in the Jayhun district of Tajikistan’s Khatlon region.

The agreement marks the transition of the project into the implementation phase. The facility is expected to become one of the largest renewable energy projects in the country and strengthen the country’s power generation infrastructure.

Under the EPC contract, TGEM will deliver the full scope of work, including design, equipment supply, construction, and commissioning, in line with technical specifications, international quality standards, and project timelines.

The company said the project expands its portfolio of strategic assets and confirms its capability to deliver large-scale infrastructure projects.

The solar plant is expected to support diversification of power generation, increase the share of renewable energy, and improve the resilience of Tajikistan’s energy system. It is also projected to contribute to regional socio-economic development through job creation, infrastructure development, and increased investment attractiveness in the Khatlon region.
