On April 20, a total of 64.4 million kWh of electricity was generated in Azerbaijan, of which 23.5 million kWh were produced from renewable energy sources.
Renewables reports, citing the Ministry of Energy, renewables accounted for 36.5% of the country’s total electricity generation on that day.
Of the renewable electricity produced, 15.9 million kWh were generated by hydropower plants, while 7.6 million kWh came from solar and wind power plants. Wind and solar energy together accounted for 12% of total electricity generation.
