As part of his visit to Austria, Javid Abdullayev, Director of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency under the Ministry of Energy, attended the International Vienna Energy and Climate Forum.
He also addressed the “Beyond Borders: Regional Value Chains and Green Industrial Corridors” roundtable held on the margins of the forum.
In his remarks, Javid Abdullayev briefed participants on Azerbaijan’s renewable energy policy and priorities in this field, as well as green energy corridors currently under construction, aimed at linking several countries and regions. He highlighted their role in economic transformation, regional cooperation, and long-term energy security.
The Azerbaijani official also participated in the “Green Technology Days,” the “International Conference on Hydrogen,” and the “Forum on Sustainable Cooling,” held on the sidelines of the event.
As part of the visit, Abdullayev met with Ciyong Zou, Deputy to the Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and Mikhail Chudakov, Deputy Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The meetings focused on Azerbaijan’s renewable energy potential and explored prospects for cooperation.
