The next hybrid meeting of the Technical Committee on standardization of Electric Power Engineering and Renewable Energy was held at the Ministry of Energy.
Opening the meeting, Khalida Masimova, Deputy Head of Administration at the Ministry and Chair of the Technical Committee, emphasized the importance of discussing the draft standards prepared in accordance with the Rules for the Application of International, Regional, Interstate and Foreign Standards in the Territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, approved by Resolution No. 38 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 5 February 2026.
The meeting, attended by representatives of the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AIS), a public legal entity, and member organizations of the Technical Committee, reviewed eight draft standards. Participants were also informed about the newly adopted Rules.
The discussions focused on the implementation of standards in the production sector, opportunities to appropriately address the needs and proposals of entrepreneurs in this area, as well as issues related to the nationalization of terminology.
In conclusion, taking into account the opinions and proposals put forward, it was agreed that 8 draft standards related to the energy sector would be approved and submitted to the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization Public Legal Entity.
