The next meeting of the Green energy space working group was held in a hybrid form regarding the discussion of the draft annual report prepared on the implementation of Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026 for 2025.
According to the Ministry of Energy, Deputy Energy Minister Samir Valiyev, who chairs the meeting, noted that the goal of green energy space occupies an important place in the socio-economic development strategy and is one of the main pillars of the future development model of our country. The Deputy Minister said that the measures envisaged in this direction will not only ensure Azerbaijan's transition to a sustainable, environmentally friendly and innovative energy system, but also contribute to global climate goals. Samir Valiyev brought to the attention the implementation status of 18 events planned for the past year, and stressed that the implementation of the strategy in general is accompanied by positive dynamics.
Then, Deputy Chairman of the Working Group, Deputy Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) Ramil Huseyn made a presentation on the measures planned for 2025 and their implementation. At the meeting, opinions and suggestions on the report were heard, relevant notes were made.
In addition to the Ministry of Energy and CAERC, the Green Energy Space Working Group included representatives of the Ministries of Economy, Ecology and Natural Resources, Agriculture, Digital Development and Transport, Finance, Emergency Situations, State Statistics Committee, State Urban Planning and Architecture Committee, State Customs Committee, SOCAR, Central Bank, Azerbaijan Investment Holding, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Azersu, Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, Azerenergy, Azerishig, Azeristiliktehizat OJSCs.
