Wind measurement and monitoring works have been launched for the construction of a 240 MW high-altitude wind power plant in Kalbajar.
According to Renewables.az, Baltech Group released information on the matter.
Two wind-measurement masts are already in operation, collecting valuable data, and a lidar system will soon follow, further strengthening the site assessment
It should be noted that within the framework of COP29, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) under the Ministry of Energy, Clean Energy Invest LLC, and Baltech Green LLC on the development of the Kalbajar Wind Power Plant. The project is being implemented by Kalbajar Energy LLC, a joint venture between Clean Energy Capital LLC (a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Green Energy Company – AGEC) and Baltech Green LLC.
