ACWA Power to participate in green energy export projects via Azerbaijan to Europe

Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power will participate in projects aimed at exporting green energy from Azerbaijan to Europe. The agreement was reached during online meetings between representatives of ACWA Power, Green Energy Corridor Power Company LLC (GECO), and Green Corridor Alliance LLC.

The parties agreed to maintain close contact and continue working together in the coming months to develop a clear and practical roadmap for future cooperation.

GECO is a joint venture representing four countries established to implement the Agreement on the Development and Transmission of Green Energy signed between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary. Green Corridor Alliance LLC, headquartered in Baku, is a joint venture established with the participation of the grid operators of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan to implement the Central Asia–Azerbaijan Green Energy Corridor project.
