Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA), met with Tural Aliyev, General Director of Green Corridor Alliance LLC.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation between AERA and Green Corridor Alliance LLC, exchanged views on activities planned under the “Green Energy Corridor” initiative, the project’s regulatory aspects and AERA’s potential role, infrastructure and market mechanisms for electricity export, opportunities for technical and institutional cooperation, and other matters of mutual interest.
It should be noted that on November 13, 2024, the “Agreement between the governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Kazakhstan and Republic of Uzbekistan on Strategic Partnership in the Development and Transmission of Green Energy” was signed. Green Corridor Alliance LLC was established to facilitate the implementation of this agreement.
