On April 6, a total of 62.6 million kilowatt-hours of electricity was generated in Azerbaijan, of which 18.2 million kilowatt-hours were produced from renewable energy sources.
According to the Ministry of Energy, renewables accounted for 29.1% of the country’s total electricity generation on that day.
Of the renewable electricity produced, 12.4 million kilowatt-hours were generated by hydropower plants, while 5.8 million kilowatt-hours came from solar and wind power plants.
