Deputy Energy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov attended the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.
The Deputy Minister spoke at the Ministerial Panel on the Future of Energy: Positivity, Pragmatism and Policies and at the Ministerial Roundtable on Enhancing Energy Security and Resilience through Diversification. The Deputy Minister informed about the balancing role of traditional energy sources in the process of fair energy transition and the projects implemented by Azerbaijan in the direction of green energy transition. He stressed that the widespread use of energy storage technologies and the modernization of the power grid are of particular importance in terms of the rapid development of renewable energy. It was noted that the successful implementation of the energy transition also depends on regional energy integration. To this end, our country is implementing the green energy corridor and interconnector projects connecting the South Caucasus, Central Asia, Türkiyə and Europe. These projects will serve not only the export of electricity generated from renewable energy sources, but also the synchronization of networks and the strengthening of energy stability in the region.
It should be noted that the ADIPEC 2025, organized under the auspices of President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will comprise 10 conferences and 380 sessions. The discussions will focus on shaping the energy system, the application of new technologies, investment in clean energy, and accelerating the transition toward a clean and secure energy future.
