According to operational data released by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, solar energy production in the country reached 314.6 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) in the first six months of the current year — marking an increase of 28 million kWh or 9.8% compared to the same period last year.
Solar power plants operated by "AzerEnergy" OJSC (Nakhchivan Energy LLC) generated 30.7 million kWh of electricity during the reporting period.
