At the 30th International Conference 'Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2025', Orkhan Zeynalov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, spoke, emphasizing the strategic role of the oil and gas industry and prospects for cooperation between the two countries.
Orkhan Zeynalov noted that the global energy sector has undergone significant changes over the past 30 years, but even with the development of alternative energy sources, they do not replace, but merely complement, traditional resources. In this context, Azerbaijan's gas industry plays a strategic role.
The Deputy Minister of Energy emphasized that Azerbaijan is actively developing partnerships with Central Asian countries. He stated that energy cooperation paves the way for the implementation of the Trans-Caspian Corridor.
Separately, Orkhan Zeynalov focused on the development of green energy and the creation of new export routes. Azerbaijan is completing several solar and wind energy projects and is working to establish the 'Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Europe Green Corridor'. This corridor is seen as a potential bridge for clean energy exports. By 2032, Azerbaijan plans to actively develop offshore solar and wind energy projects.
In conclusion, the speaker expressed confidence in his vision of a bright future for the region and emphasized his readiness for a close partnership with Turkmenistan in the gas and green energy sectors.
