The next Board Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov with the participation of structural units and agencies of the Ministry.
Opening the meeting, the Chairman of the Board emphasized the importance of ensuring the timely and effective implementation of the tasks assigned to the Ministry of Energy in accordaning to the meeting agenda.
During the meeting, a report on the implementation status of the tasks arising from the application of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Gas supply dated 8 July 2025, No. 233-VIIQ was presented. It was noted that, in line with these tasks, 11 draft normative legal acts had been prepared, 9 of which have already been approved. In addition, Azerbaijan adopted, for the first time, the Technical Regulation on the Safety of Gas-Fired Appliances and Equipment as a technical regulation.
In accordance with the agenda, participants were also informed about the progress made in establishing the Energy Balance of the Republic of Azerbaijan, electronic database with restricted access. The meeting covered the database’s operating procedures and its capabilities for conducting statistical analyses, while emphasizing that its real-time monitoring functionality enables processes to be carried out more efficiently, promptly and transparently.
At the end of the meeting, relevant instructions were given on the issues discussed.
