Italy’s CESI S.p.A. has been selected as the winner of the international tender held for the preparation of the feasibility study of the Central Asia–Azerbaijan Green Energy Corridor project. CESI S.p.A., which will implement the first phase of the project’s feasibility study, will act as a consultant to Green Corridor Alliance LLC.

CESI S.p.A. is a global company with nearly 70 years of experience in technical consulting and engineering in the energy sector. Established in 1956 and headquartered in Milan, the company operates on four continents in more than 70 countries, specializing in energy system analysis, integration of renewable energy sources, energy asset management, and the design of electrical interconnections between energy systems. Among its key clients are major energy companies, electricity transmission system operators, and international financial institutions. The company also implements the feasibility study of the Caspian-Black Sea-European Green Energy Corridor project.

It should be noted that last year, within the framework of COP29 and with the participation of the Presidents of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, an Intergovernmental Agreement on Strategic Partnership in the development and transmission of green energy was signed among the three countries.  For the implementation of the Agreement, Green Corridor Alliance LLC has been established.
