The Board of Green Energy Corridor Power Company (GECO) held its latest meeting to review project progress and outline next steps for the strategic energy infrastructure initiative.

During the meeting, members assessed developments achieved since the previous session, stakeholder engagement, and overall project advancement. Preparations for the Ministerial Meeting scheduled in Baku in June 2026, budget planning for 2027–2028, and technical issues related to the Black Sea seabed survey were also discussed.

The Board focused on the project’s development strategy, holding dedicated sessions with leading developers, including Xlinks and Zhero, who presented cooperation models and implementation proposals.

As the feasibility study enters its final stage, the project is moving toward implementation, with priority workstreams covering integrated project management, engineering activities, regulatory and EU institutional positioning, commercial strategy and market modelling, and financial assessment.

The Green Energy Corridor remains a key initiative aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and enabling large-scale renewable energy integration between the South Caucasus and Europe.
