A delegation led by the Chief Executive Officer of the UAE-based Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company), Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, together with the Head of the Bilasuvar District Executive Authority Faig Gurbatov, the Director of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency under the Ministry of Energy Javid Abdullayev, and representatives of State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), visited the construction site of the 445 MW Bilasuvar Solar Power Plant (SPP).

According to the company, during the visit the delegation reviewed the progress of works carried out under the project and was briefed on the current status of construction.

It was noted that significant progress has been achieved in construction works since the installation of the first solar panel in October 2025. During the visit, the completed works were assessed and discussions were held regarding the upcoming stages of the project.

It should be noted that once commissioned, the Bilasuvar SPP will generate enough clean electricity to power approximately 75,000 households. The project will also prevent more than 427,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, making a significant contribution to Azerbaijan’s strategic renewable energy targets.
