In January 2026, electricity production from wind power plants in Azerbaijan increased significantly.
Renewables.az reports, citing the State Statistics Committee, that wind energy generation reached 56.1 million kWh, 21.6 times higher than in the same period last year.
It should be noted that the 240 MW “Khizi–Absheron” Wind Power Plant, which has been operating in test mode since August 2025, was officially inaugurated in January 2026.
