Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA), participated in a meeting of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) in Ankara, attended by chairpersons, presidents and commissioners of ERRA’s member regulatory bodies.
The meeting addressed pressing issues faced by ERRA member institutions. The event provided an opportunity for participants to get informed on electricity and gas supply, renewable energy, as well as consumer-related issues in member countries.
During the sessions, presentations were heard on topics such as retail market liberalization, electricity price subsidization, and price regulation in liberalized retail markets. The experience of various countries in these areas was also reviewed, and views were exchanged on topics of interest.
The event concluded with a session reviewing the key findings of ERRA committee reports.
