Training on increasing energy efficiency in public buildings was held

Training on Improving Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings was held within the Energy Efficiency and Climate project, implemented through the Azerbaijan Rapid Technical Assistance Facility (AZTAF) by the World Bank, a training seminar on improving energy efficiency in buildings was held in Shamakhi organized by the Ministry of Energy.

The main purpose of the training is to implement energy efficiency measures in buildings, as well as to increase their knowledge and skills for the effective management of Energy Efficiency Fund projects.

During the two-day training, the participants were presented topics on energy audit, modernization and improvement mechanisms on the energy efficiency of buildings, project management, monitoring and evaluation. At the same time, detailed information about the country's energy efficiency policy was provided. Training was held for local auditors in order to ensure that trainings for a wider audience will be held by local experts in the future. In addition, as a practical part of the training, an energy audit was carried out in one of the public buildings located in Shamakhi.

The training was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Energy Regulatory Agency under the Ministry and AREA, as well as representatives from the Ministries of Economy, Ecology and Natural Resources, Emergency Situations, the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, as well as potential energy auditors.
