A meeting was held between Christophe Yvetot, European Union Representative of UNIDO, Aysel Yagubova, Executive Director of CECECO, and Vaqif Sadigov, Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Belgium.
According to UNIDO, the meeting focused on expanding cooperation in clean energy, accelerating sustainable industrial development, and exploring regional cooperation opportunities among member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
UNIDO noted that amid growing global demand for clean, reliable, and affordable energy, it remains committed to promoting innovation, strengthening capacity, and supporting countries in their transition to low-carbon industrial pathways in partnership with stakeholders.
The sides also highlighted the importance of scaling joint solutions to strengthen industries, enhance regional integration, and contribute to a just and inclusive energy transition.
