The United States, Azerbaijan, and Armenia have agreed to establish a technical planning group on electricity transmission as part of the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP).

According to the US Department of State, the governments of the three countries issued a joint statement on November 6.

The statement noted that US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Brendan Hanrahan, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, and Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov launched trilateral technical planning efforts to accelerate the implementation of the TRIPP project.

At the initial stage, the parties agreed to establish two separate technical planning groups focusing on electricity transmission and transportation.

The groups will help address technical issues, advance the project toward its next implementation phases, and facilitate the integration of the TRIPP route into other regional infrastructure networks.

The initiative is expected to contribute to long-term regional stability, increased economic activity, enhanced regional connectivity, and expanded trade.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to implementing all components of the TRIPP project as quickly as possible.
