A meeting was held between delegations led by Baba Rzayev, Chairman of the Board of Azerenerji OJSC, and Sacha Backes, World Bank Country Manager for Azerbaijan.

Renewables.az reports, citing Azerenerji, that the meeting focused on the implementation status of the Azerbaijan Scaling-Up Renewable Energy (AZURE) project, progress made across its various components, results achieved, and activities planned for the upcoming period.

The parties also exchanged views on the integration of large-scale renewable energy projects into Azerbaijan's electricity grid and the measures to be implemented in this regard. Expanding cooperation in the energy sector and exploring future partnership opportunities were also among the key topics discussed during the meeting.

Implemented by Azerenerji OJSC, the project modernizes high-voltage power transmission to integrate up to 1 GW of private renewable energy and unlock $384 million in private green investments.
