The 230 MW Garadagh Solar Power Plant, commissioned on October 26, 2023, marks its 3rd anniversary today, Renewables.Az informs via Ministry of Energy.
The plant covers an area of 550 hectares and is equipped with 570,000 solar panels.
Since its commissioning, the plant has generated 1.488 billion kWh of electricity as of October 1, 2026.
Electricity generation at the Garadagh Solar Power Plant by year:
- 2023: 13.2 million kWh;
- 2024: 490.4 million kWh;
- 2025: 534.3 million kWh;
- 2026 (9 months): 450.1 million kWh.
As Azerbaijan's first large-scale international investment project in the renewable energy sector, the Garadagh Solar Power Plant has made a significant contribution to the country's green energy transition and increasing the share of renewables in electricity generation.
