Students from the Faculty of Energy and Digital Technologies at Sumgayit State University (SSU), accompanied by representatives of the university administration, took part in an information tour of the 100 MW "Gobustan" Solar Power Plant—a project implemented by "Universal Solar Azerbaijan" LLC in collaboration with "Smart Energy Engineering Solutions" LLC.

During the visit, participants learned about the operating principles of solar panels, the conversion of solar energy into electricity, the functions of inverter and transformer systems, and the process of transmitting the generated energy to the power grid. The students had the opportunity to examine the plant’s technological infrastructure and the engineering solutions applied on-site.
This information tour helps students deepen their knowledge and develop research interests in key scientific areas, such as enhancing the energy conversion efficiency of solar panels, assessing the impact of climatic and environmental factors on energy production, minimizing energy losses, and integrating renewable energy sources into the power grid. At the same time, this experience encourages students to participate in future scientific projects and stimulates research activities aimed at developing innovative engineering solutions in the energy sector.
