Energy China to build 300 MW solar power plant in southern Kazakhstan worth $320 mln

Kazakhstan and China Energy Engineering Group (Energy China) have signed an investment agreement on constructing a 300 MW solar power plant in the Turkistan region, the Kazakh Energy Ministry's press service said.

The investment agreement and the power purchase agreement were signed in Beijing during the eighth meeting of the Kazakhstan-China Business Council, the press service said.

The SPP is expected to be built in the Sauran district, with total investment in the project estimated at $320 million. Construction is scheduled for 2025-2026.

Energy China is a Chinese construction and engineering company specializing in the construction of power plants and the manufacturing of equipment for them.
