The next Board Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, with the participation of structural units and agencies of the Ministry.
According to the Ministry, the Chairman of the Board said that the tasks set in the energy sector are consistently implemented in accordance with the strategic line set by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev. It was noted that our country is in a leading position in each of the regional cooperation projects implemented today, and the energy policy implemented with the vision of the head of state serves both national interests and the development of international cooperation.
In accordance with the agenda of the meeting, a report on the implementation status of the First State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Action Plan for the establishment of the green energy zone in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026 and State Program on the socio-economic development of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic for 2023-2027 was presented. The works carried out on the installation of measurement and observation facilities on renewable energy in the liberated territories, construction of solar, wind and hydro power plants, assessment of energy efficiency, hydropower, use of geothermal energy and bioenergy sources, hydrogen technology, investigation of the possibilities of application of hydroaccumulation technology were considered. The implementation of pilot projects on the application of green technologies, the creation of a Green Energy Zone Demostration Pavilion, and the steps taken to determine the requirements for energy-efficient green technologies in lighting streets and roads were discussed. At the same time, discussions were held on the development of the concept and Action Plan for the development of the Green Energy Zone in Nakhchivan, as well as on the feasibility study of the export-oriented infrastructure project.
In 2025, the Ministry of Energy for the first half of the year provided detailed information on the state of executive discipline and consideration of citizen applications, and the work done on the mechanisms of work with documents and control was reviewed. The level of implementation of the tasks arising from the relevant Decrees and Orders of the Head of State, as well as the work plan of the Ministry, was analyzed.
At the end of the meeting, relevant instructions were given on the issues discussed.
